The UNH Wildcats have qualified for the Yankee Small Conference Playoffs 2010; UNH will travel to Southern Maine CC to battle for a spot in the Semi Finals on Saturday. The game will take place Friday October 8, 2010 at 3:00 pm at Southern Maine's campus in South Portland. In the Regular season the two split the season series 1-1. UNH won 12-7 and lost 7-1. A win on Friday will put UNH in the Semi Finals on Saturday at 2:30 vs Vermont Tech.

After a very productive, but unsuccessful weekend, the Wildcats look to take their solid weekend performance into their matchup with the UNE Nor'easters. Senior Evan Hall will be on the mound looking to pick up his second win on the season. UNH is coming off of a hard weekend, losing 3-1 and 6-5 ( 10 innings) at Vermont Tech, and splitting with Maine (2-0 W, 8-7 L). Sophomore Andy Basque has been on fire going 5 for his last 7 as well as going 14-28 on the season so far.

The New Hampshire Baseball teams travels to the University of Maine Orono on Sunday September 18 to square off in a NECBA doubleheader. The Wildcats will be looking for a big time performance out of Freshman slinger Graham Turner and Sophomore Chris Celi as they look to take first place away from Maine.

After starting out the season 3-2, the Wildcats are heading to Center Randolph, VT on Saturday September 17 to take on first place Vermont Tech. The Wildcats will look for a big performance out of hit leaders Ryan Tkowski (7), Matt Keene (6), ad Andy Basque (6).

The UNH Wildcats are making the short trip on Friday September 10 to square off with the NHTI Lynx. This marks the first game for the 2010 season for the Wildcats while NHTI has already lost two close contests last weekend. UNH is sending Jeff Spratt to the mound in hopes he can shut down the Lynx offense and lead UNH to their first win of the season.

UNH Baseball Announces Fall Tryouts

 

The University of New Hampshire Baseball team has announced that they will be hosting open tryouts for students the week of August 30-September 3.

The University of New Hampshire baseball team has announced their 2010 schedule.

The Wildcats will open their season and their Yankee Small College Conference schedule on September 10 in Concord, NH to take on New Hampshire Technical Institute who made it to the USCAA World Series in the spring.

The UNH Baseball team traveled to Biddeford, Maine on Saturday, May 1, to close out their Spring season against the University of New England Noreasters. The Wildcats were saying farewell to lone senior Dave Waterhouse (Weston, CT) who started on the mound.

Sophomore starting pitcher Mike Piekielek, (Amherst, NH), threw his second consecutive shut out against Holy Cross on a beautiful day at Pickering Field. Piekielek went seven innings, giving up one hit, two walks, no runs and struck out thirteen.

Due to weather the Wildcat Invitational has been changed from a double elimination tournament, Saturday and Sunday, to a single elimination tournament of Sunday.
